چکیده

Cognitive feedback in group decision making is information that provides decision makers with a better understanding of their own decision processes and that of the other group members. It appears to be an effective aid in group decision making. Although it has been suggested as a potential feature of group decision support systems (GDSS), tittle research has examined its use and impact. This article investigates the effect of computer generated cognitive feedback in computersupported group decision processes. It views group decision making as a combination of individual and collective activity. The article tests whether cognitive feedback can enhance control over the individual and collective decision making processes and can facilitate the process of convergence among group members. In a laboratory experiment with groups of three decision makers, 15 groups received online cognitive feedback and 15 groups did not. Users receiving cognitive feedback maintained a higher level of control over the decision-making process as their decision strategies converged. This research indicates that (1) developers should include cognitive feedback as an integral part of the GDSS at every level and (2) they should design the human-computer interaction so there is an intuitive and effective transition across the components of feedback at all levels. Researchers should extend the concepts explored here to other models of conflict that deal with illstructured decisions, as well as study the impact of cognitive feedback over time. Finally, researchers trying to enhance the capabilities of GDSS should continue examining how to take advantage of the differences between individual, interpersonal and collective decision making.

A Group Decision Support System - A Description on Models and Modules in GDSS Based on Cooperative MAS

GDSS is a popular and attractive topic in decision field. It is reasonable to introduce multi-Agent technology and methodology into GDSS because they are both distributed systems and support interaction in group members. We look at the development of GDSS as being a process of putting together a coordinated workflow of collaborating Agents that is able to support a problem-solving process. We p...

The Effect of “Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy” training on Drug Use Feedback and General Health of Addicts

Introduction: Addiction has affected people's performance in many ways and endangered their own health and that of their community. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of “Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy” training on substance use feedback and general health of addicts in 2019. Methods: The present study was performed by quasi-experimental method with pre-test design, post-test with...

Nonlinear Guidance Law with Finite Time Convergence Considering Control Loop Dynamics

In this paper a new nonlinear guidance law with finite time convergence is proposed. The second order integrated guidance and control loop is formulated considering a first order control loop dynamics. By transforming the state equations to the normal form, a finite time stabilizer feedback linearization technique is proposed to guarantee the finite time convergence of the system states to zero...

Investigating the effectiveness of neuro-feedback on alpha and beta frequency bands in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment

Introduction: Aging is a process in which physiological and psychological changes, especially cognitive changes, are observed. The aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of neuro-feedback on the alpha frequency band and beta frequency band at points (F3, F4) in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. Methods: For this purpose, in this semi-experimental research, 30 peo...

The Effect of Direct, Indirect, and Negotiated Feedback on the Tense/Aspect of EFL Learners in Writing

L2 written corrective feedback has been investigated from different perspectives in SLA research (e.g. Ahmadian & Tajabadi, 2015; Bitchener & Knoch, 2010; Ferris, 2006). Taking the cognitive and sociocultural paradigms into account, the aims of the current study are twofold: Firstly, it attempts to find if corrective feedback is effective in improving the linguistic accuracy of L2 learners' ten...
